Siemens will manufacture wind turbines in Brazil

Company has already received its first order for wind turbines in Brazil, whichopened the way for the installation of a factory in the country.

DUSSELDORF - Siemens to install wind turbine factories in Brazil, India andRussia, said the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in its issue ofThursday, citing the director of the division's renewable energy company, ReneUmlauft.

According to him, Siemens has received its first order for wind turbines in Brazil,which opens the way for the installation of a factory in the country. For India, thecompany expects to receive its first order in the next few weeks.

Siemens also plans to create a joint venture with Russian companies andRostechnology Rushydro in early 2011. The information is of Dow Jones.
